If you are already in the children’s events industry this is a wonderful opportunity for you to walk into a readymade party venue and start operating from day one.
What you are purchasing?
Everything inside the party venue located at 1449 Malvern Road, Glen Iris as it stands. A full inventory list will be provided to interested parties. Photos attached including retail shop fit out with partyware and balloon set up and stock to begin operating as a retail store as we currently do OR utilize the front area as an office or waiting room.
Currently operating as a successful disco party venue fit out includes staff costumes, council approved commercial kitchen complete with oven, cooktop, range hood and 3 door under bench fridges, face painting area, dining room tables, cake display cart, full ceiling decorations, wall to wall art work, black & white checked flooring, disco sound system, retail shop fit out designed and installed by Shop for Shops- as well as ample storage with shelving system at the rear of the venue. To complete your party venue we are leaving an abundance of the small items to operate as a childrens party venue from prizes, face paint, accessories, balloons etc.
How much is the asking price?
$35 000 ex GST
A discussion can be hand in the event the purchaser wishes to continue using the Shopify website and Get Timely Booking system for $4000 ex GST currently www.carnivalforkids.com.au. I understand an existing business may already have their own website and may not wish to purchase our web design. All Carnival for Kids wording and any images with Carnival for Kids on it will be edited prior to hand over.
Option to purchase the website and operate it under your own domain name, NOT www.carnivalforkids.com.au
What is the lease?
The purchaser will be required to negotiate their own lease terms with our landlord, who is extremely reasonable and has been more than wonderful to deal with especially throughout COVID times (not many small businesses can say that about their landlord). The landlord is open to terms of 1,2 or 3 years with options for a long lease as well.
Current lease paid by Carnival Entertainment is $31896 ex GST ($2658 per month ex GST) plus Outgoings.
There is a very large shed at the rear of our neighbours property, which we currently rent for $100 per month. You are welcome to take the shed as well which is a very useful storage area especially on busy weekends and school holidays.
The ideal purchaser will commence their own operations from 1st July 2023 which allows for a neat transition with end of financial year.

The successful purchaser will be required to pay a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due four weeks before take over. As previously mentioned you will be required to negotiate your lease with the landlord.
You are purchasing the party venue fit out only and nothing associated with the business Carnival for Kids. Your business name cannot be similar to Carnival for Kids OR Carnival Entertainment. A legal document will need to be signed to ensure you understand the full terms and conditions of the purchase (sale).
If operating a children's party business is new to you, I am willing to offer my services as a consultant to assist you with getting your business up and running. With 18 years of experience and establishing five party venues, I can offer you a valuable insight into operating a successful party business.

Carnival for Kids (Catherine Roosenburg) has made the decision to focus on event management and styling, as opposed to conducting children’s birthday parties from a party venue and retail space. After 18 years working in the children’s entertainment industry I am moving the business in a direction which I am finding myself very enthusiastic about - event styling, balloon decorations and planning. This is not a decision I have made lightly, however, with the end of my lease coming nearer it was a decision I had to make and I am excited for the future.
Having said that, It is a sad moment for me, so much hard work has been put into setting up this marvelous party venue which has endured its fair share of ups and downs throughout the past three years with COVID. However, I know it will continue to be a successful party venue with the right business & owner(s) at the helm.
Future Party Bookings:
All party booking enquiries-which are related to weekends past your commencement date will be forwarded onto the new purchasers contact details or website, which will ensure party booking income from your first weekend of operating. (Carnival for Kids currently operates 4-7 parties a weekend throughout the school term from this party venue)
Carnival for Kids party bookings will not be affected at all during the sales process. In the event of a successful sale- the hand over will only take place once all Carnival for Kids bookings are completed.
